First police intake of 2025 passes out highest number of female probationary constables

A total of 284 police recruit intake of 2025 passed out as probationary constables at the National Centre of Excellence at Bomana Police College on 26th March (yesterday).

This intake passed out 41 female and 243 male probationary constables which is the highest number of female recruits since the elevation of the College to National Center of Excellence status.

Assistant Commissioner Training's Forward, Silva Sika said the day of the recruit's passing out marks more than the end of six months of rigorous training.

"It signals a vital turning point in the revitalization of the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary through the delivery of quality training to our recruits and cadets on the field." Sika said.

a/ACP Training said commencing in mid/April this year, the number of intake per batch will increase to 715recruits bringing the total number of recruits passing out per year to 1400.

Prime Minister , James Marape also present at the pass out parade, congradulated the recruits and reminded them to teach other citizens by being the first to uphold the country's law

"You are joining a worthy, noble and profession.

"Not to your tribe. Not to your family. Not to your religion. Not to the different affiliations we all call ourselves to be members of but, first and foremost, Loyal to your flag." PM Marape said.

PM Marape said this country needs men and women who ask not what their country can do for them but who can put their lives on the line in total defence of their country.

He encouraged the 284 recruits to be loyal to the constitution, loyal to their uniform and be loyal to their country Papua New Guinea.
