Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso has challenged members of the Pangu Pati to stay true to the development vision of the party’s founding fathers.

Speaking at the Pangu Party Convention in Port Moresby, Rosso reminded MPs that their presence in government is a mandate from the people that must be executed through clear policy delivery.

He emphasized that national elections provide a rare opportunity to drive meaningful progress, urging members to remain focused on the party's core policies.

"The big dream is for a better Papua New Guinea," Rosso said. "We have to follow it diligently so that we do what is right for our country."

The Lae MP challenged the leaders to reflect on their purpose in public office, reinforcing that leadership is rooted in national service rather than status.

"Why did we get elected? We got elected to represent our people and to do better for our people, for the love of our people," Rosso said. "We want to do better for our people. That is why we sit in these chairs."
