Datec showcases AI- driven sovereign data centre solutions in Lae

As DATEC prepares to celebrate 40 years of operations in Papua New Guinea, it continues to position itself at the forefront of digital innovation through its AI-Driven Sovereign Data Centre Roadshow.

The roadshow was held on Friday at Hotel Morobe in Lae and attracted representatives from various organizations and companies within the Information Technology (IT) sector, providing an opportunity for participants to learn about the latest developments in secure and sovereign digital infrastructure.

The presentation was delivered by DATEC's General Manager for Innovation, Strategy and Technology, John Pulu, who highlighted the future of secure, sovereign and artificial intelligence-enabled digital infrastructure in Papua New Guinea.

Mr. Pulu explained how organizations can leverage locally hosted sovereign data services, combined with the power of artificial intelligence, to strengthen security compliance, drive innovation and improve overall business performance.

He emphasized the importance of keeping critical data within the country while utilizing advanced technologies to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.

"Protect your data, secure the future," Mr. Pulu said in concluding his presentation.

DATEC currently operates eight branches across Papua New Guinea and is marking four decades of service to the country's digital and technology sector.

The company is working in partnership with Telikom PNG and CloudSigma to deliver sovereign data and cloud-based solutions aimed at supporting Papua New Guinea's digital transformation agenda.
