Kua: No country can develop itself without education

The progress of a society, its people, and the country depend entirely on good quality education and nothing else.
Sinesine Yongolmugl MP Kerenga Kua said Papua New Guinea is a developing nation, and in order to claim itself amongst the developed nations of the world then, we must educate our people by starting with our children in the primary schools.
Mr Kua said this during the dual opening of a new six in one classroom building and a new school library at the Dinima Primary School yesterday.
He said education plays a crucial role in various aspects of national development, including economic growth, social development, political stability, human capital development, and sustainability.

"Since I became your member in 2012, I have made sure that the biggest share in the annual government grant goes to education in the district. Education is always my priority, and under my leadership, we will continue to support," he said.
He said each primary school in the district received K96 000 last year, amongst the high schools, one secondary, and the Kundiawa teachers college.
He said the opening of the six in one building and library symbolizes the dedication and commitment put to work.
" Dinima is the first primary school amongst others that received funding under district grant last year, and i hope and expect more of such in other primary schools," Kua said.
Nanis Mark, the head master of Dinima primary, thanked SSY district for their continuous support.
He said Dinima, with its feeder elementary school, so far received K350, 000 for the last 3 years from the district.
He said this support has fueled their aspirations and empowered them to reach for greater height.
" I also want to thank the Queenpads Products Limited, Benchmark Coffee Traders, and Mauberema Ecotourism Conservation for their vital donation of full library kits and books", he said.
Mr. Mark said that for 48 long years, one vital resource remained an elusive dream, a dedicated school library, and today that dream once a whispered hope now stands before them as a vibrant reality.
" This is not merely a building, but it's a gateway to boundless knowledge, a sanctuary for discovery and a cornerstone for the intellectual development of our children," he said.
