Wavik is the new MKA Chairman

Community Leader Russel Simon Wavik is the new Motu Koita Assembly Chairman elect.

Wavik went past the absolute Majority of 5968 + 1 making him the new chairman elect.

After the 5th exclusion of Beatrice Mahuru this afternoon Wavik collect 1254 votes to win the race.

Incumbent Dadi Toka Junior trailed with 5352 votes, but this was not enough for him to retain his seat.

Counting officials are now awaiting the arrival of all candidates elect for an official declaration.

The Motu Koita Assembly consist of the Chairman, 14 ward councilors and 2 women representatives both from East and West Motu Koita, respectively.
