Government determined to address increasing lawlessness

The government has passed a resolution to focus on reducing the country's increasing law and order issues.
Straight after the House was adjourned to 26th November, members in the government benches went into a 2-hour meeting to discuss stringent measures to reduce lawlessness.
Prime Minister James Marape said respective party leaders have expressed their concerns in the meeting and a resolution passed includes improving police training in Bomana and improving National security services and Judicial services.
"We are looking into strengthening law and order in the country. This is the resolution we all have discussed. We will increase the manpower of law enforcement agencies and improve capacity building for personnel,"Marape said.
Leaders of the coalition parties and senior members of Parliament, including Sir Peter Ipatas were commended by the prime minister for their valuable insights in driving the country forward.
Meanwhile, Northern Governor Garry Juffa represented the coalition parties and pledged their commitment to work in serving the people.
"We voted on our own conviction, and we want to stand with the Prime Minister to make an effort as a team to address law and order, foreign exchange issues, energy security and others that come," Governor Juffa said.
The ten-party coalition government is confident that they will provide solutions to the problems faced in the country.
