Prime Minister James Marape along with State Ministers, senior government officials, and other dignitaries, received the casket of one of Papua New Guinea’s founding father, the late Sir Julius Chan from home, New Ireland.
The body of late Sir Julius Chan is expected to be flown to Port Moresby today from New Ireland, at 1 pm, on Tropic Air, to be accorded the respect and for state funeral arrangements.
Prime Minister James Marape this afternoon announced a week-long wake or hauskrai in Port Moresby tonight for one of the country's founding fathers and "father of the modern economy."
