The Private Companies Netball Competition [PCNC] ended its 2024-2025 season with the hosting of an awards night, recognizing its top performers, best teams, and match officials.

PCNC also staged a colorful grand final, which saw Moore Printing claim their fifth consecutive title in the women’s premier division whilst City Pharmacy Limited shone in the men's group, clinching the trophy for pools A and B.

The playing calendar was concluded with the presentation of the awards to individual players who stood out in the entire season as well as teams that displayed sportsmanship and commitment in upholding PCNC values.

PCNC president Julie Mai told NBC News the private competition was a success despite several hiccups during the course of the season, which started in November 2024 and ended in March 2025.

“The season was challenging in terms of upholding the rules and regulations whilst maintaining a fun environment for the participants,” Mai told NBC News.

“Otherwise the calendar was a success including games director and website support to manage the website.

“Engaging the services of St John's and Physiotherapy will have to be a requirement towards ensuring a safe environment.”

Mai reiterated that private companies' netball has been a platform for networking and building better relationships amongst the different companies through the code of netball, whilst encouraging healthy well-being at work.

She said the success of 2024-2025 season was a testament of the efforts of all companies who registered teams to compete, supported by the platinum sponsorship of Vodafone.

“The highlight is securing the sponsorship, which assisted in lifting the profile of PCNC and having to do the extra things as mentioned,” Mai said of Vodafone’s support towards the competition.

Looking ahead, PCNC is eyeing more collaborative opportunities in the private sector to boost the competition in future.

Mai said they hope to build a robust digital system to capture the data of all players and teams participating in PCNC.

PCNC is now in partnership with Digital Guru, who will be developing a membership maintenance application. This will be an automated system so registration can be done online,” she said.

Meanwhile, president Mai thanked all members of PCNC for the continued support and cooperation in ensuring the success of 2024-2025 season.
