Body of missing man in Yaganon river retrieved

The body of one of the two men who were swept away by the Yaganon River flooding in Raikos, Madang Province has been recovered.
The deceased man identified as Kennedy Wasero, aged 20, went missing since last Thursday.
A combined search party, comprising police personnel, Ramu Nico workers, and local villagers, who have been out at sea since Friday, found the body near the river mouth.
Information reaching NBC News from the search party revealed that a local man from Mindre Village discovered the body whilst he was out at sea.
The man discovered the missing young men after he saw a flock of eagles circuling above the body. The body was floating about 100 metres away from the mouth of the Yaganon River.
The search team was advised about the discovery and promptly coordinated a recovery operation where the body was retrieved and transported to Basamuk Small Wharf, where it was carefully wrapped in a body bag.
Ramu NiCo MCC Limited has handed over the deceased body to his immediate family.
Late Wasero worked with Ganglau Land Owners Company inside the Basamuk Refinery Plant as a handyman under Counter Current Decantation (CCD) Department.
