Abau MP Sir Puka Temu has recommended for a change in the composition of the Private Business Committee [PBC].

The Private Business committee is responsible for dealing with all motions submitted such as the vote of no confidence.

The current PBC is comprised of governors of Hela - Philip Undialu, William Powi of Southern Highlands, Manus - Charlie Benjamin, and Gulf governor Chris Haiveta and Western's Taboi Awi Yoto.

The mover of the recent motion of a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister James Marape, Temu said the present make-up was only of Pangu members.

Sir Puka said he will be asking for a change of this at the May sitting of Parliament:

East Sepik Provincial MP Allan Bird was initially on the committee but was removed after he was appointed as Prime Minister nominee for the alternate government.
