PNG records highest rainfall

Papua New Guinea has recorded highest rainfall this month with over 109 millilitres of rain.
National Weather Service Meteorologists Benjamin Malai told NBC National News that this is the highest for the country.
It is that time of the year where the country experiences severe weather with rainfall throughout the country.
And PNG it has recorded the highest this month with over 109 millilitres of downfall.
Meteorologists Malai recalls the heavy downpour that occurred recently in NCD and Central province.
Mr. Malai said the National Weather office has seen a trend in the rainfall, at an alarming rate.
The Meteorologist called for planners and government to have measures in place to prepare for future rainfall as climate change is real.
The rainy season is expected to end in the second week of May.
