Senior public servants sign employment contracts

Five departmental heads and a provincial administrator signed their contract of employment for the next three to four years before the Governor General Sir Bob Dadea at the Government House today.
The signing paves way for the heads of departments and provincial administrators to perform their roles and responsibility at their respective positions.
The Government House was packed today with families, friends and colleagues of Heads of Departments and a provincial administrator to witness their contract signing.
Among them where Eric Mossman Uvovo Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Promotion Authority, reappointed for another term of four years,
Gibson Holemba Secretary of the Department of Works and Highways for a period of four years;
Wellington Navasivu Chief Migration Officer – Immigration and Citizenship Services Authority, for a period of four years;
Joe Sapa Chief Executive Officer- National Procurement Commission, reappointed for another term of three years;
Steven Matainaho Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology for a period of four years
And Mame Kinahen Kasalau as Provincial Administrator for Manus Provincial Administration for a period of four years.
The appointments of these senior public servants by the National Executive Council have been gazetted in the National Gazette, with the Office of the State Solicitor satisfied that the appointment process of these senior public servants as heads of departments and regulatory statutory organizations is consistent with the relevant laws and government practices, and policies.
