New graduates of Kundiawa Nursing College urged to give their best

The new graduates of the Kundiawa College of Nursing are urged to maintain professionalism and to improve the service of health in their carrier.

Elias Kapavore the Minister for Health in his keynote address on the 5th graduation told graduates to look at improving health care and the level of work in their field.

He encourage them not to think that they would be serving as clinic nurses for their rest of their life but start to think about what they can do something differently.

He told them to come up with innovative ideas to improve the level of service and also to improve and to advance in their carrier.

Mr Kapavore told the packed crowds today that Nursing is a unique profession.

He said nurse respond to situation and are always there 24 hours whether in the hospital setting, a health facility or a community setting.

He said today is not just an ending but a profound beginning and they are the guardian of hope.

Noah Kool, the Governor of Simbu said eight years ago he initiated the idea of setting up the Kundiawa College of Nursing and to this day it turns out to be a success and commended the school administration, the staff and the surrounding communities for their input in bringing the institution to this stage.

He said partnership is very important and under his government they will continue to forge partnership with health, education and other sectors to move the province forward.

The Kundiawa College of Nursing will also see the commissioning of the K1.5 million building infrastructure funded by the Education department and a new school truck donated by the Simbu Provincial government.
