The education advisors of respective provinces play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this country through their role in producing quality students.

In a Governor’s consultation meeting this morning Prime Minister James Marape urged them to do their job effectively.

He told them that their role will determine where PNG will be in the next 50 years.

"All our education advisors, you play an important role. Your role is not next election, but next generation. I repeat, yours is not next election, but next generation.

"Politicians, most of us are guilty of having a foresight of the next election, but public servants must have a vision for the next generation, especially in the education sector.

"You think about the next generation. And the system we need to build, right character must be built, right skills must be given, and right knowledge must be given," Mr. Marape said.
