Chief Executive Officer for KCK Rigo Rice Cup, Mcsteve Polly, has warned participating teams that strong discipline will be exercised throughout the tournament both on and off the field.
Polly met with a participating club at the Hohola Ipi Park in Port Moresby this week to emphasize the value of this vital sport, which will be one of the main agendas promoted.
The purpose of the brief meeting was to clarify several regulations and codes of conduct, as well as prioritize discipline to ensure players participate with strict compliance during the tournament.
Mr. Polly explained to the City Rebels that KCK Rigo Rice Cup will be operating as a reliable platform to breed and export disciplined players.
He further highlighted that the tournament will be focused on promoting and marketing disciplined players between the ages of 16-23.
"Digicel Cup players will strictly be limited to five, where two will be playing and three can be on the bench for interchange," Polly said.
"This will give enough opportunity to emerging talents to fully showcase their potential, as well as get good experience in the league."
He also stressed that discipline is the catalyst that excels a talent into top-tier professional competitions in their career, labeling PNG international Justin Olam as a splendid role model.
Mr. Polly concluded that the official launching of the grassroots competition will be held on Sunday, November 17th when the games will kick off.
