Central Province youth urged to be good citizens

The future of Papua New Guinea remains uncertain with the current state of the country, but Central governor Rufina Peter is adamant youths can change the landscape.
Ms. Peter who traveled to Goilala district on Independence Day to mark the celebrations with the local people in the district said youths are the agents of change.
She believes Goilala District can become a role model encouraging and urging youths to be good citizens and at the same time reminding them that the future of PNG is shaped by their actions.
Governor Peter took a one-day flight on a Farland Helicopter and stopped at three locations in Goilala District, beginning at Yongai village in Woitape LLG, then stopping over at Ganiawai community in ward 9 of Guari LLG, before her final stop at Tapini Station.
Ms Peter challenged the Goilala people to play a part in the development of Central Province and called for a safe and peaceful province.
