Pope encourages clergymen to carry on the good work of Jesus Christ

A Pope Francis ends the four-day visit to Papua New Guinea this morning and appreciates the overwhelming crowd of catholic faithful and other denomination for turning up in numbers.

Before departure, all clergymen, ordained by the Catholic Church for duties were encouraged by Pope Francis to continue their missionary work.

These Clergies, not only from Papua New Guinea, but who came from all across the Oceania region met with the Pontiff on Saturday at the Don Bosco Technical Institute.

The Pope reminded them to be kind and tender, and that their service to humanity is also a service to God.

After the meeting, the Pope was given a gift, a mini Lakatoi artefact, a traditional Motuan outrigger canoe, to remember his historical visit to Papua New Guinea.

As he departs to Temo Leste this morning, many Catholic Faithful’s braved the heat of the sun to farewell Holy Father Pope Francis.

The Kumul fly over, 7mile roads leading to APEC Terminal was filled with faithful wishing him farewell before he departs.

Catholic school students were part of the crowd outside Apec Terminal.
