New Pacific Policing Initiative announce to address regional issues

Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese in partnership with Pacific leaders endorsed the new Policing strategy which aims to address regional law and order issues.
Prime Minister James Marape was among the four leaders who jointly announced the new initiative.
The Pacific Policing Initiative is new concept that has been endorsed by Pacific Island leaders and is funded by the Australian Government.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the initiative is designed on three pillars and will strengthen Police force of individual pacific island nations and their availability to support each other.
The three pillars of the new policing Initiative include four regional policing center of excellence, a Pacific policing support group and Pacific policing development and coordination hub. One of the Regional policing center of excellence will be located in Port Moresby PNG.
Prime Minister Marape said, "Pacific is one of the biggest unpoliced spaces in the world and this new initiative will address the rising threat of Transnational crimes, including the increase in drug trafficking."
Prime Minister Marape commends the big partners from Australia and New Zealand for their support.
Also, the Fiji prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka supported the new concept which he described "a huge opportunity that will improve policing and the overall improve in law and order in the region."
The new initiative is a Pacific one that's specifically designed to reenforce existing regional security architecture.
The Australian PM is satisfied that this Pacific Lead Initiative was endorsed by pacific leaders attending the 53rd PIF.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese believes this initiative will greatly improve policing and security in the Pacific region over the years.
