E-Government Portal to be launched in September 

The electronic portal linking all government departments and agencies in the country will be launched and trialed in September this year.

Information and Communication Technology Minister Timothy Masui says the e-government portal will ensure all government business are aligned and work together, embracing good governance, accountability and transparency.

"So, the police clearance will be trialed. But we are launching everything, the e-government portal in September.

"And then we will go, it means that all the departments have to align into one now and your Bilum platform [a government digital platform to enhance good governance, transparency and accountability] will come into that as well.

"It's already there. Once we launch or approve your Bilum platform in the cabinet, it will just find its way there," Masiu said.
