Wayne Bennett described Alex Johnston as a “10 out of 10” and told the greatest tryscorer in premiership history he would always be welcome back at South Sydney if he leaves to become a foundation player for the PNG Chiefs.
The name "Alex Johnston" is now inked in the rugby league history books as the leading try scorer of all time in the NRL, after surpassing the 53-year long standing record held by the legendary Ken Irvine.
Following the successful completion of last year's competition, preparations are now underway for the 2026 School Rugby League season in Western Highlands Province.
