Iceberg help to islands
A 33m private expedition yacht in collaboration with local business houses in Milne Bay is delivering household kits to cyclone stricken communities among many others supporting government in this disaster response.
MV Iceberg had set sail for the islands on Tuesday.
While they had contributed to a ‘Go Fund Me” effort by Tim Abel for Tropical Cyclone Maila Disaster Relief to raise a target of Australian $18,000 [K55, 864.00]to the course, the household packs were additional, basic items to keep families affected going while awaiting the government’s response.

They are one of numerous groups that have sprung into action to do their part in terms of the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Maila.

They reportedly headed for Rossel, the Conflict Group of Islands and more recently, were reported to have called into remote Budibudi too for the same, helping two near full term expectant mothers there to get to Guasopa station to ensure safe delivery of their babies.
