Fuel consumers are expected to dig much deeper into their pockets this month as prices will significantly increase.

This is due to a spike in the prevailing international oil prices.

The Independent Consumer and Competition Commission has announced in a statement that the new retail fuel prices, will take effect as of midnight tonight.

For Port Moresby petrol will start selling at K6.10 per litre an increase of K1.71 from K4.39, diesel will increase by K3.25 from K4.44 and will sell at K7.69 whilst Kerosene will increase by K3.35 from K4.09 and will sell at K7.44 per litre.
