Missing dinghy located, all safe
The dinghy carrying 8 people onboard, including a critically injured passenger in Milne Bay, has been located and is said to be safe.
Late this afteenoon, dinghy owner Gilmister Ben confirmed an uncle of his who had returned from remote Egom Island near Woodlark had confirmed he had been with the dinghy and its party and they were taking shelter at Egom Island while waiting for clear weather.
They had departed Guasopa station last Thursday morning for Alotau and had been outside network coverage for the last 5days, raising concerns they could have been casualties of strong winds and currents due to Tropical Cyclone Maila currently passing through Milne Bay waters.
The news is relief to family and friends of the 8.
