Traveling members of the public and Public Motor Vehicle [PMV] operators are urged to exercise extreme caution or avoid the 2-Mile area entirely today, following reports of violent retaliatory attacks on commuters.

The unrest stems from an eviction exercise conducted yesterday by Police at the 2-Mile Settlement. Displaced and frustrated settlers have reportedly begun targeting passing vehicles and pedestrians moving between Badili and 2-mile.

Meanwhile, NCD City Wardens stationed at Badili are redirecting vehicles to take safe routes as Police work to contain the situation.
Reports surfaced on social media indicate that that groups of men are charging at moving PMVs and private vehicles, causing significant distress to passengers.

The situation remains uncertain as the displaced community reacts to the demolition of homes in the area.
