MS09 Unit in Hela left to attend training at McGregor Training Centre

A total of 40 officers from the Mobile Squad 09 [MS09] Unit in Hela Province left the province yesterday to undergo five weeks training at McGregor Training Centre in Port Moresby.

This is the first time officers were sent out since the establishment of MS09 in Hela Province.

The team flew to Port Moresby on the Australia Defense Force Plane C127.

Hela Governor Philip Undialu while farewelling them, thanked Minister for Denfence Dr. Billy Joseph and Australian Defense Force for assisting them with C127 Plane.

He also commended PPC Supt Michael Welly, MS09 Commander Mairi Arua for facilitating the training program.

“This is part of the ongoing capacity building for the law and Justice Sector in the province under the motto “Make Hela Safe Again", Governor Undialu said.

Governor Undialu said this training will cost the Provincial Government over K300, 000 to K400, 000.
