The Provincial Police Commander for Madang Province, Robert Baim, has applauded all his policemen and women for their unwavering dedication and service to the people of Madang Province.

He has also extended the same to all business houses and the general public for their continued cooperation and partnership in maintaining peace and good order throughout 2025.

"I also wish to express my command's sincere appreciation to Governor Ramsey Pariwa and Acting Provincial Administrator, Daniel Aloi, for their steadfast support to Madang Police," Baim said.

"To all community-based policing units [CPUs], you have faithfully stood as the eyes and ears of law and order in our communities, often at personal risk. Your commitment reinforces the safety and security that Madang residents deserve, and for that, you have my profound respect and gratitude."

He urged everyone to take a moment to reflect on year gone; its successes and its shortcomings.

"We must honestly ask what we have done for our province and what more we can do to advance the development of Madang," PPC Baim said.

"If we have been spectators, will we become active team players in the year ahead? It is time to reassess, refocus, and reform our mindsets so that we move forward together with the rhythms and spirit of oneness to restore Madang’s strength and pride.

"No single officer can accomplish the transformation we seek; it requires all of us—police, communities, businesses, and local leadership - working in concerted effort towards a safer, more prosperous Madang tomorrow.

"To our fellow officers, I affirm that this is a collective mission grounded in unity, discipline, and service.

"We must continue to partner with community leaders, the business sector, and local government to foster a climate of peace, trust, and opportunity," Superintendent Baim added.

"The roads to progress are paved by collaboration, transparency, and shared responsibility.

"As we embrace 2026, let us recommit to upholding the highest standards of professional integrity, compassion, and resilience. Let us be proactive in preventing crime, responsive to the needs of our people, and steadfast in protecting the vulnerable, ensuring that Madang remains a safe and welcoming place for families, visitors, and investors alike.

"On behalf of the Madang Police Command, I wish everyone a peaceful, prosperous, and Happy New Year as we embark on 2026 together. May this year bring renewed hope, renewed energy, and renewed faith in our collective ability to build a better Madang for all."
