Port Moresby shopper wins K150,000 JMC ute in Eliseo Christmas promotion

A Port Moresby shopper has driven away as the first major winner of the Eliseo Christmas Promotion after her receipt was drawn from more than 5,000 entries collected across the capital.

Gloria Michael, who shopped at the Makana Eliseo branch, won a brand-new JMC ute valued at K150,000 during the promotion’s first major draw held yesterday at Eliseo Rainbow.

The draw marked the official launch of the Eliseo Group’s Christmas giveaway, which aims to reward customer loyalty while giving back to the community during the festive season.

In addition to the vehicle giveaway, 10 other customers won major prizes, including five refrigerators, three mobile phones and two 65-inch LED televisions. Most winners were not present at the draw but have since been contacted to collect their prizes.

The Eliseo Group said the promotion has attracted strong participation, with thousands of customers qualifying for the draw by spending K88 or more at any Eliseo outlet in Port Moresby.

Purchasing Director Jason Wen Hu said the Christmas promotion has become an annual tradition for the company.

“Last year we gave away three vehicles as part of our Christmas promotion, and this year we are doing it again to give back to our customers,” he said.

The JMC ute was sponsored in partnership with Boroko Motors, reinforcing the group’s commitment to rewarding customer loyalty through high-value prizes.

Eliseo Branch Manageress Jesse thanked customers for their continued support of the group’s businesses.

“We would like to thank our regular customers across all Eliseo Group companies for supporting this promotion and for supporting us throughout the year,” she said.

Eliseo Group Director Edward Egobia said the promotion reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to the Papua New Guinea community.

“This is about giving back to the people of PNG. We are grateful for the support of our customers and will continue to provide good services, quality products and opportunities for our people,” he said.

The Eliseo Christmas Promotion runs from December 1 to January 3, 2026, with more draws and prizes still to be won.
