Appo to appear in Bradford magistrate court

PNG Kumuls Keven Appo is due to appear at Bradford Magistrate Court on Monday 6th of January.

West Yorkshire Police charged the 25-year-old with rape, sexual assault and two counts of assault.

Following these charges, the Bradford Bulls terminated his playing contract with immediate effect.

The club stated: "Following today's West Yorkshire Police statement, the Bradford Bulls have cancelled Keven Appo's playing contract.

"Given the circumstances, the club is duty bound to make no further comment at this stage. The search for a suitable, quality replacement is underway."

Appo remains innocent until proven guilty by the court.
