I have no detailed information: PM Marape

The controversy surrounding the gaming license and building permit for the proposed Paga Hill Satellite Casino in Port Moresby takes another twist.

Prime Minister James Marape who officiated at the groundbreaking early this month was caught off guard when NBC News asked him, " I have no detailed information of the issue you guys [NBC] are raising now."

Mr Marape arrived at Jacksons International Airport on Monday night from Indonesia.

He said he officiated at the casino's ground breaking ceremony on behalf of his state minister, who was unable to attend after flight cancelation.

" I'll get full details of the licenses… as prime minister I had to go stand in for my Minister for Commerce," Marape said.

Paga Hill Development is the developer of the K600 million project is expected to be completed within six months.
