Go home early: NCD Police

The National Capital District and Central Police Command is encouraging the general public to move home early because of the incident at Gordon Bus Stop this morning. 

The public bus stop located in the Port Moresby North East Electorate is the biggest and busiest in the nation's capital.

Police reports state that a fight erupted from an incident on Thursday.

"Several [PMV] buses were damaged at Gordons Bus Stop [after] a fight started between a bus crew and vendors," according to the police statement.

"The fight was the result of an argument that happened yesterday [Thursday] between a bus crew from Enga and a vendor also from Enga Province [and] opportunists, started stoning [PMV] buses.

"Police arrived on time to disperse the crowds [and] formal complaints had been registered at Gordon police station for police investigation."
