Losing Millions of Kina worth of properties and goods after the 10th of January looting, City Pharmacy Limited appeal for national government assistance arrived.

CPL Board Director Mary Handen said despite the "substantial" business loss, the company did not cut a single job from its 2, 500 workforce.

A day after opening a new Stop and Shop Supermarket at Rainbow in the nation's capital, it was a perfect gift with national government coming true to its commitment with the cheque presentation by Chief Secretary to Government Ivan Pomaleu.

"We are so grateful that government came to help, the cheque we received today [Sunday] is going to help our cash flow, as we are struggling with cash flow at the moment, especially with our overseas suppliers," Ms Handen said.
