New Administration building for UOG

As the country prepares to celebrate the 51st Independence, it is another milestone achievement for the country as the Prime Minister opens another state-of-the-art 6th storey Central Administration and Humilaveka Student Forum building at the University of Goroka.

PM Marape when cutting the ribbon said this shows the Government’s commitment to quality education for the future.

He said the future of the country depend on the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom and UOG as a teacher training institution must continue to produce more teachers for the country.

He thanked Chaina Railway Company for constructing a modern 6th storey modern building for the staff and students to use.

Member for Goroka, Aiye Tambua on behalf of the people of Goroka District in which the university is situated thanked the government for investing in education.

Mr. Tambua said he is humbled for such a magnificent building on Humilaveka and appeals to the people to look after this government infrastructure.

The K135m building is funded by the government and includes university offices and student forum and an underground carpark.
