Concerns have been raised in parliament this week on the preparedness of the 2027 national election.

National Capital District Governor, Powes Parkop, in a series of questions to the Minister for Administrative Services Richard Masere, outlined challenges faced in previous elections in 2012 and 2022, where the NCD Governor's seat was the last to be declared, despite it being a small electorate.

He also stated, the use of special circumstances, one voting system, hijacking of ballot boxes, women's freedom to exercise their rights, including the engagement of overseas security force, during national elections.

Parkop asked the concerned Ministry, what plans they have.

Minister Masere gave his response in parliament on Friday.
