Five Papua New Guinea Kumuls players recently signed by the London Broncos have departed Port Moresby today, beginning their journey to the United Kingdom ahead of the 2026 Betfred Championship season.

SP Hunters products Gairo Voro, Finley Glare, Epel Kapinias and Roberth Marthias, together with Queensland Capras standout Morea Morea, are bound for England where they will link up with fellow Kumuls star Jeremiah Simbiken.

The group were farewelled by family and friends, including the SP Hunters management team.

Their recruitment forms part of national coach Jason Demetriou’s long-term development strategy, aimed at boosting the Broncos’ campaign and pushing for promotion back into the top-flight Super League.

The five players will join pre-season preparations immediately upon arrival as the club strengthens its roster with emerging PNG talent.
