SP Brewery reaches 1,000 accident-free milestone

South Pacific Brewery Lae has achieved a significant safety milestone, reaching 1,000 consecutive days without a recordable accident as of Wednesday, 29 October 2025.

Interim Brewery Manager, Noel Pepemik, said the achievement reflects the company’s strong commitment to safety.

“Safety is everybody’s business. Every task, no matter how small or urgent, is always carried out in the safest way possible,” said Mr. Pepemik. “We prioritize safety in all our processes and operations. Our employees are dedicated to looking out for one another, ensuring that safety comes first in everything we do."

SP Brewery Safety Coordinator Edward Tido emphasized that the milestone was made possible through timely reporting and resolution of issues, proactive safety observations, and ongoing safety training.

To celebrate the achievement, SP Brewery hosted a special lunch for its staff at the Lae Brewery.
