Marape to present report on police in Parliament

A full report on the performance of the Royal PNG Constabulary , under the leadership of Commissioner David Manning will be presented to parliament.
Prime Minister James Marape said this, following a supplementary question by Ialibu-Pangia MP, Peter O' Neill in parliament, yesterday.
Mr O' Neill claims that under the administration of the police minister and the Commissioner, the law and order situation in the country has worsened.
He asked if some actions would be taken against the Commissioner, similar to the Commander of the Defense Force, who was suspended, after one of his soldiers died during a training exercise in Kupiano, Central Province.
Marape says the Police Commissioner, like every other head of agency, is accountable to the people and the government.
