CBC dispels rumors of Pope Francis passing

The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands has urged all faithful in these two Pacific nations and around the world not to spread false information regarding the passing of the Holy Father, Pope Francis.
The Vatican News reports that "Pope Francis's condition remains critical; however, since Sunday evening, he has not experienced any further respiratory crises."
General Secretary Fr. Lawrence Arockiaraj reminded all the faithful that such misinformation causes confusion and distress.
He is urging everyone to rely solely on official and credible sources for information regarding the Pope’s health, which include the Holy See Press Office and Vatican Media.
Fr. Lawrence said that as Catholics, it is everyone's moral duty to avoid spreading false information.
The General Secretary of the Catholic bishops is calling all faithful to remain vigilant and uphold the truth, particularly in online spaces. He also encourages everyone to continue praying for the Holy Father’s strength and grace as he carries out his mission.
