The Local MP for Nipa-Kutubu Dr. Billy Joseph has officially launched the Forestry, Agriculture, Livestock, and SME Project at Kembil Village in the Nipa-Kutubu District.

Dr. Joseph said these initiatives are aimed at transforming societies, improve living standards and make people to work hard and becoming self-reliant.

He encouraged people from respective communities to return to their land and engage in farming, livestock rearing, and small-to-medium enterprises [SMEs] to create sustainable income and self-employment opportunities.

He also highlighted the critical role of tree planting in mitigating the effects of climate change and supporting the nation's development.

"Planting trees will not only help reduce global warming but also ensure we have resources for future generations, like materials for building houses," he said.

Dr. Joseph congratulated Robin Poripa, a local agricultural talent who has been actively farming, planting trees, breeding livestock, and driving SME initiatives.

Recognizing his efforts, Dr. Joseph pledged K500,000 towards the project to ensure its continued success.

The event served as a call to action for the people of Kembil Village and beyond to take ownership of their future by utilizing their resources effectively and embracing entrepreneurship
