Acting Managing Director of the National Broadcasting Corporation, Kora Nou, is adamant NBC will be a leading broadcaster in the region.

Nou said the recent developments in the organisation would provide a vital platform that could transform the broadcasting space of the country.

"In 2025, we stand at an exciting crossroads, with a unique opportunity to shape the future of broadcasting in Papua New Guinea," Nou said.

Mr. Nou said NBC’s essential role in informing, educating, and entertaining the nation, noting that the workshop would be pivotal in creating a clear and actionable work plan for the year ahead.

He said that developing a robust work plan requires collaboration, innovation, and a thorough understanding of the audience's needs and aspirations.

The acting MD when welcoming the participants for the 2025 Business Plan Workshop, encouraged all attendees to contribute their insights, expertise, and perspectives, as these would be crucial in guiding NBC’s continued growth and relevance in the digital age.

"As we reflect on past achievements and identify areas for growth, we aim to set clear, measurable goals that will help us meet the challenges of 2025 and beyond," Nou said.

He also highlighted that the workshop would serve not only as a planning session but also as an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge, and foster meaningful dialogue.

He concluded by expressing gratitude for the participants’ dedication to the process, expressing confidence that the workshop would produce a work plan that would form a solid foundation for NBC’s future success.

"I look forward to a productive and enriching session," Nou said.

Mr. Nou is confident the involvement of other stakeholders will create a work plan that will ensure NBC remains at the forefront of media in the region.
