The nearly million residents of Port Moresby and parts of Central Province have been under the mercy of Water PNG water rationing since the start of this month.

But it has not affected business houses in the nation's capital when taps started to run dry following water rationing commenced on 8th January.

Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Rio Fiooco confirmed that it is business as usual for its members because almost all business premises have at least one or more back up water tanks.

The Water PNG citywide water rationing will end on 26th of this month after necessary repair and maintenance works at Mount Eriama Treatment Plant is completed.
