The National Capital District [NCD] and Central Province residents have been urged to report crimes, seek assistance, or address police misconduct directly to their nearest police station commanders or section heads.
Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Benjamin Turi, Commander for NCD and Central Province, emphasized that the region has sufficient police resources to address public concerns.
NCD has ten police stations and one police post, while Central Province operates seven police stations, all under the supervision of station commanders.
Commander Turi urged the public to contact station commanders first for any issues. If their concerns are not addressed, they can escalate them to the Provincial Police Commander [PPC] or the Metropolitan Superintendent for investigation.
To improve communication, Commander Turi shared contact details for senior police officers across NCD and Central Province, ensuring prompt responses to complaints and reports:
PPC Central: Chief Inspector Joseph Salle - 71361184
Commander Turi assured the public that these officers have vehicles and are expected to respond promptly to calls. He encouraged callers to identify themselves, explain their concerns, and state how the police can assist.
“This is to ensure transparency and accountability in police operations,” Turi said.
