Rescue team: No survivors in Saravagat plane crash

The search and rescue team led by Manolos Aviation chief executive officer Jurgen Ruh has confirmed that there are no survivors found in the plane crash at Sarawagat, Morobe Province.

Captain Ruh said his medical team confirmed this tragic news following several attempts to locate potential survivors involved in the incident on Sunday.

Ruh, in a statement, said it was hard to withstand the impact of the incident, leaving no survivors behind.

"As the CEO of Manolos Aviation, I deeply regret this advice on Christmas Eve," he said.

"Our medical team finally managed to visit the crash site of P2- SAM, and our doctor has confirmed that there are no survivors.

"There was no suffering. The impact on terrain was hard, and the transition to the next world was instant.

"As a team, we are sharing the grief with the families of the deceased."
