The thousands of grades 8, 10, and 12 students across the country can now be able to access their examination results online.

This is after the 2024 examination results were launched by Education Minister Lucas Dawa Dekena yesterday in Port Moresby.

Minister Dekena explained that students can access their results online through the ypngexamresults.com website, by inputting their usernames and passwords.

He commended this online tool which was introduced in 2018.

"This platform will greatly improve communication and efficiency for students and parents regarding their results," Dekena said.

Top performing schools announced

The education minister also announced the top 10 performing Schools for grades 10, and 12, and national schools of excellence in this year's examinations.

For Grade 10, Minister Dekena announced on first spot was La Salle Hohola Tech followed by Anditale High School in Enga Province and on 3rd place St Charles Lwanga Secondary School in NCD.

For grade 12, number 1 was Pitipas Secondary in Enga, followed by Mt. Hagen Secondary School, and in third place was M. Paglum Secondary School also in Western Highlands.

PNG Paradise Private School ranked 1 in the Grade 12 examination results for private top performing Schools while St. Joseph College in NCD and Goroka International came 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The National Schools of Excellence saw Kerevat in East New Britain on 1st placing, followed by Wawin in Morobe and Sogeri in Central Province on 3rd spot.

Education Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra encouraged students, teachers, and schools to not be discouraged by these results, adding that those who didn't make the top 10 list are not failures.

He instead encouraged them to look to the future and better themselves, for the long education journey ahead.
