The Opposition's motion of no confidence in Prime Minister James Marape will not be placed on the Notice paper.

This after the Parliamentary Private Business met at midday and deliberated the substance of the new motion is the same as the previous one.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Koni Iguan announced this in parliament this afternoon.

Sinesine Yongomugl MP and Lawyer, Kerenga Kua through a point of order argued that this is not the same motion because it has a new alternate nominee for the Prime Minister's post.
