Admiralty Islands Football club will represent NGI Region in Premier Soccer League

The Admiralty Islands Football Club will carry the pride of New Guinea Islands region in the Premier Soccer League Northern Conference Challenge.

The PNG Football Association sanction competition will be played in Lae, Morobe Province.

Manus Governor Charlie Benjamin during the launching in the provincial capital - Lorengau on Thursday, encouraged "the players not to look down on themselves [and be] intimidated" when they play against national representative players.

He told the team that they have proven to be amongst the best by winning the National Soccer League Besta Cup.

The 23 players from Admiralty Islands FC will be coached by Bob Morris.

The team will play against seven teams, representing the Northern and Southern Regions for the next six months.
