Port Moresby city security paramount
National Capital District Governor, Powes Parkop says security is a critical aspect at this time as more activities continue to take place, especially in the nation’s capital.
Parkop says while ensuring all vital infrastructure and services are put in place, safety of citizens must also be considered.
NCD Governor used the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kumul House earlier this week, highlighting they are in the forefront in ensuring security is maintained.
“On our part as the municipal government, we are putting in place all the infrastructure and services that are vital and we are working with the police to ensure that safety is number one.” Governor Parkop said.
He assured city residents and businesses that a lot has been invested in this area, and they will ensure security is not compromised.
“Security is not just important for everybody, at the personal level, corporate level, but it's equally important for our country.
“The national capital of our country cannot be overrun by lawlessness.
“We are here to maintain the highest level of peace and security, to guarantee the safety of our people and our residents.” Parkop said.
Governor Parkop said, his team will work to ensure that security is present so that investors who come here are at peace and they feel at home and part of the equation, and they can invest and make what must be their home.
