A newly built medical center that will provide medical services to the people of kainantu was opened last Thursday.

Eastern Highlands Governor Simon Sia officially opened the newly built Susuke Haus located in the heart of Kainantu Town, Eastern Highlands Province.

The Susuke Haus is owned by Medical Practitioner Dr. Tara Susuke and his wife Fenny.

The building marks a significant milestone as the first privately owned medical facility in Kainantu town, established by a local from Kainantu.

The center began operating on Friday, offering a comprehensive range of essential medical services, including general consultations, outpatient services, laboratory testing, ultrasound scans, surgical procedures, dental services, and referrals.

The Susuke Medical Center has a pharmacy to provide convenient access to prescription medications and other health-related products and services.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Governor Sia congratulated Dr. Susuke and his wife Fenny on their remarkable achievement.

The Governor said it is a significant achievement not only for Dr. Susuke and his family but for the people of Kainantu.

"The medical center will play a critical role in providing high-quality healthcare services to the people of Kainantu and the neighboring districts.

"Many people who want to make a business choose bigger cities and towns like Goroka and Lae, but Dr. Susuke had his heart for the people, which is why he remained in Kainantu to build his business," Governor said.

Dr. Susuke said the Kainantu people and the nearby districts supported his private medical clinic, enabling it to grow and expand to this stage.

"Our business began from humble beginnings as a small clinic in Kainantu town 20 years ago and has grown and expanded to this stage," Dr. Susuke said.
