Enga PHA clarifies notice as fake, AI generated
A notice that has been widely circulated on social media, stopping people from the Wapenamanda District in the Enga Province, from accessing services at the Wabag General Hospital, has been described as a fake notice.
Enga Provincial Health Authority Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Vincent Pyakalyia said this notice was the work of Artificial intelligence [AI], and it has created more confusion among everyone.
Dr. Pyakalyia told NBC News that the notice labelling people as animals, was created by people who are not in their right frame of mind and should be disregarded.
He added that the address, stamp and signature on the notice are all AI generated, and not from the hospital.
Dr. Pyakalia has also assured the people of Enga, that the hospital is open to take in, provide care and medication on everyone, regardless of who they are, or where they come from.
