Women and youths' interest in agribusiness is now prioritized as a two- day consultation workshop for a new policy commences in Wewak.

The National Women and Youth in Agriculture Policy [NWYAP] will greatly impact women and youth engagement in agriculture and agribusinesses.

Driven by the Government of Papua New Guinea [GoPNG] through the Department of Agriculture and Livestock [DAL] in partnership with FAO's EU-STREIT PNG Programme, this conference will provide feedback from the Greater Sepik Region and Madang and an improved road map for the policy's validation and endorsement.

Consultations for the other 3 regions are set to follow starting next month.
