PNG Orchids visit Coronation Primary School

The Santos PNG Orchids visited Coronation Primary School today to take part in a rugby league clinic organised by the NRL’s League Bilong Laif program.
The full Orchids squad arrived to meet students and participate in drills that focused on developing basic skills such as catching and passing.
The Orchids also took the opportunity to share with the children how rugby league was helping them break barriers and building the profile of women and girls not only in the game but in society as well.
Elsie Albert, Emily Veivers, Ruth Gende, and Marie Biyama each addressed the young participants, encouraging them to value their education and to develop respectful behaviour towards each other regardless of gender, to become better people in society.
The Santos PNG Orchids will face the Cook Island Moana in their first Pacific Championships match this Saturday 18th October at the Santos National Football Stadium.
